“What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”
The scene opens up with a busy day at work with Vice Chairman Lee Young-joon (Park Seo-joon) and Secretary Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young) going about at work. Young-jun gives out instructions while Mi-so answering to his every questions. A conversation in the lift shows how confident and narcissistic Young-jun is. The conversation also show Secretary Kim having followed him for many years has improve a lot on her language and communication skills. The scene at the lift switched on to an evening at the Spanish Embassy where the power couple were smartly attired and beautifully dressed. After the evening function, while traveling back and both in the car, Mi-so tells Young-jun that he needs to look for a new secretary as she is quitting her job.
We felt that the character was well played by both Park Seo-joon and Park Min-young where both exudes a very formal and businesslike relationship at the beginning of the episodes. This creates excitement when eventual episodes unfold how when Young-joon realizes that he is losing Mi-so tried all ways to make her stay – of course in his narcissistic and funny kind of way. Mi-so in turns starts to look at Young-joon differently after many attempts by Young-joon in showing his sincerity and love.
Conversation in the lift between Vice President Lee Young-jun and Secretary Kim Mi-so. Mi-so’s stomach was growling and she explained that she has not eaten as she need to be in a dress for the night function. We felt that the reason given was really authentic as that’s what most women would do when needing to be in a dress, though we felt Mi-so in the show was too slim and does not necessary need to go hungry. However the conversation in the lift also shows that Young-jun also skipped his breakfast.
